About the Role
Are you an experienced Cost Control Engineer with a strong background in project budgeting and financial control? We are looking for someone to take ownership of budget monitoring, cost reporting, and enforcing purchase order (PO) gatekeeping to ensure projects stay within financial targets.

Responsibilities

Monitor and report budget vs. actual project expenditures across multiple departments.
Act as a gatekeeper for Purchase Orders (POs) to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
Analyze cost variances and provide actionable recommendations.
Collaborate with project managers, procurement, and finance teams to validate spending.
Maintain and update cost control systems and reporting tools.
Use ERP platforms (SAP, Oracle, etc.) and Excel/Power BI to deliver accurate cost reports.

Requirements

6–8 years of experience in cost control within engineering, construction, or industrial projects.
Strong knowledge of project financials and cost tracking tools.
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or equivalent).
Advanced Excel skills; experience with Power BI is a plus.
Excellent analytical and communication skills.
Fluency in English (written and verbal).

المسؤوليات الرئيسية:

تطوير ومراجعة وصيانة تقديرات تكلفة المشروع لمشاريع المحطات الفرعية والبنية التحتية للطاقة.
إعداد فواتير كميات مفصلة (BOQs) وهياكل تفصيلية لتكلفة المشروع وتقارير التكلفة.
إجراء تحليل للتكاليف وإعداد تقارير الفروق لضمان بقاء المشاريع ضمن الميزانيات المعتمدة.
التنسيق مع فرق الهندسة لتقييم التغييرات التصميمية وتقدير تأثيرات التكلفة.
دعم إعداد العطاءات، بما في ذلك تقييم العروض وتحليل أسعار المقاولين.
مراجعة عروض الأسعار من البائعين واقتراحات المقاولين الفرعيين لضمان التوافق مع الأهداف التكلفية.
تنفيذ إجراءات فعالة لمراقبة التكاليف، بما في ذلك إدارة التغييرات وتحليل المخاطر المالية.
إعداد وتقديم تقارير حالة التكلفة بانتظام إلى قيادة المشروع والمساهمين.

المؤهلات:

درجة البكالوريوس في الهندسة أو المسح الكمي أو مجال ذي صلة.
خبرة لا تقل عن 8 سنوات في تقدير التكاليف ومراقبتها لمشاريع الطاقة.
خبرة مثبتة في بنية النقل والتوزيع ومشاريع EPC.
فهم قوي لوثائق تصميم الهندسة وعمليات البناء.
مهارات ممتازة في التواصل والتحليل.

About the Job
We are seeking a skilled Cost Engineer with a minimum of 2 years of experience to support cost control, budgeting, and commercial activities within an active construction project. The ideal candidate will work closely with the Commercial & Contract Department to ensure accurate project costing, effective cost monitoring, and compliance with contractual and financial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in preparing, monitoring, and controlling the project budget and cost plans.
Track and analyze project expenditures, commitments, and cost variances.
Prepare periodic cost reports, financial forecasts, and updates for management.
Review and verify contractor invoices, variations, and change requests.
Support the preparation of BOQs, cost estimates, and cost breakdown structures (CBS).
Coordinate with the planning team to align cost performance with the project schedule.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost data and project documentation.
Assist in tender evaluations, commercial comparisons, and procurement cost assessments.
Ensure compliance with contractual, financial, and company policies.
Collaborate with engineers, site teams, and quantity surveyors to validate on-site progress.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience
Minimum of 2 years of experience in cost engineering, cost control, or commercial support within the construction industry. Experience working on active construction sites is preferred. Strong understanding of cost analysis, budgeting, BOQs, and progress measurement is essential.

Skills

Strong analytical and numerical abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
Good understanding of cost control methodologies and project financials.
Proficiency in MS Excel and cost-related software/tools.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong organizational and documentation skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with contracting companies in Saudi Arabia. Knowledge of cost engineering software such as Primavera, Candy, CostX, or similar is advantageous. Experience in tendering, commercial evaluations, and variation assessments is preferred. Understanding of contract forms such as FIDIC or equivalent.
