The Role: Anti-Money Laundering Lead

Foodics is seeking an Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Lead to oversee all AML and Counter-Terrorist Financing (CTF) activities for FoodicsPay. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Riyadh Province, and requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. The AML Lead will ensure compliance with SAMA AML/CTF regulations, FATF guidelines, and internal risk management frameworks, acting as the subject-matter expert and primary escalation point for AML-related matters.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, update, and maintain AML/CTF policies, procedures, and standards in alignment with SAMA regulations.
• Establish and execute the annual AML plan, including monitoring processes and thematic reviews.
• Lead the AML Risk Assessment (ML/TF Risk Assessment) covering customer, product, channel, and geography risks.
• Define and maintain AML/CTF Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and dashboards for senior management and the Board.
• Oversee transaction monitoring alerts, review escalated cases, and manage high-risk alerts.
• Conduct complex AML investigations, including suspicious activity involving merchants or payment flows.
• Ensure timely filing of Suspicious Transaction Reports (STRs) to the Saudi FIU (GFIU) as per regulatory timelines.
• Approve Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) files, high-risk merchant onboarding, and risk rating adjustments.
• Ensure onboarding processes (KYC, KYB, Beneficial Ownership, MCC validation, sanctions checks) meet regulatory expectations.
• Approve high-risk clients, such as cash-intensive merchants, unusual MCCs, and high-volume cross-border activities.
• Act as the primary point of contact with SAMA and FIU regarding AML matters.
• Coordinate regulatory inspections, information requests, and remediation action plans.
• Deliver annual AML training and specialized training for frontline and risk teams.
• Ensure continuous AML awareness and testing.
• Supervise AML analysts/officers, provide coaching, and manage workload distribution.

Required Experience

• 4-7 years of experience in Anti-Money Laundering or a related field.
