Aljomaih Bottling Plants is seeking a Channel Development Manager to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is integral to driving strategic channel expansion and optimizing distribution across various market segments.

Role Overview

The Channel Development Manager is responsible for leading initiatives that ensure sustainable revenue growth, market penetration, and strong customer partnerships. This involves overseeing channel expansion, optimizing distribution, executing approved business plans, and coordinating cross-functional efforts to achieve commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and secure approval for growth mapping plans across non-traditional channels, including institutions, hotels, hospitals, business offices, and restaurants, to ensure sustainable growth and increased market penetration.
• Oversee CDA negotiation with key customers, evaluating commercial terms such as discounts, visibility investments, and promotional support, aligning proposals with company policies and budgets to maximize profitability.
• Support the Food Services Director in developing profitable annual business plans for assigned channels by analyzing channel dynamics, evaluating business drivers, and recommending commercial initiatives.
• Manage the annual activation planning process with customers, Marketing, and Account Managers, reviewing proposed promotional calendars and aligning activities to maximize commercial impact and ROI.
• Evaluate customer sponsorship and commercial investment proposals, assessing sales potential, account importance, expected return on investment, and business impact to recommend appropriate support levels.
• Oversee customer credit requirements, monitoring credit limits and outstanding exposure, and preparing business cases for credit exceptions through Finance.
• Optimize channel budgets by allocating approved funds across key commercial initiatives, reviewing actual spend, evaluating return on investment, and approving reallocations where required.
• Coordinate with internal support functions including Finance and BTD to facilitate line extensions, credit limit approvals, product availability, and operational requirements.
• Monitor account performance and lead the team in maintaining compliance with CDA terms and approved commercial frameworks, tracking execution performance.
• Oversee customer classification and segmentation within the Customer Master File (CMF), coordinating account transfers with Sales teams and monitoring post-classification activity.
• Manage and develop the team, setting targets, appraising performance, motivating subordinates, and approving vacation requests.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of professional experience in channel development, sales, or a related commercial field.
• Demonstrated expertise in strategic channel growth, distribution optimization, and business plan execution.
• Proven ability to lead teams, manage budgets, and coordinate effectively across internal functions.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, requiring a commitment to driving commercial success within a dynamic market.
