The Role of Head of Commercial Legal Contracts

Reef Group is seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Head of Commercial Legal Contracts. This full-time position, based in Riyadh, is crucial for leading the Group’s commercial contracts function. The role involves managing all commercial contracting activities, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and overseeing local and international agreements to protect the Group’s legal interests, manage contractual risks, and support business growth through effective legal guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation, drafting, and review of commercial contracts and agreements.
• Review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, partners, investors, and other stakeholders.
• Oversee the management of franchise, distribution, and agency agreements.
• Provide legal advice on commercial transactions and investment activities.
• Play a key role in protecting the Group’s legal interests and managing contractual risks.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Law is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 8–10 years of relevant experience in commercial contracts, corporate legal affairs, or a related field.
• Strong experience in commercial contracts, franchising, distribution, and agency agreements is essential.

Required Skills and Competencies

• Strong contract drafting and legal review capabilities.
• Excellent legal negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
• Strong ability to identify and assess contractual legal risks.
• In-depth knowledge of laws and regulations related to commercial contracts, franchising, distribution, and agency agreements.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and develop a commercial contracts team.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
