The Role: Investment Principal Growth

BECO Capital is seeking an Investment Principal Growth to be the senior investment presence for its growth strategy in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to the firm's newest growth strategy, currently deploying from Growth Fund I. The position involves sourcing and leading Series B to pre-IPO opportunities, owning the end-to-end diligence process, and working directly with the General Partners. The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience and will contribute to shaping BECO's investment approach in the emerging growth-stage venture landscape of the Gulf region.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and maintain a proprietary pipeline of growth-stage companies within Saudi Arabia through direct relationships with founders, CFOs, later-stage investors, bankers, and corporate development teams.
• Lead end-to-end due diligence for new and follow-on deals, including commercial, financial, and operational workstreams, managing external advisers, and adhering to strict timelines.
• Conduct comprehensive research, market sizing, valuation modeling, sensitivity analysis for risks and scenarios (MOIC and IRRs), cohort analysis, customer and channel references, and product testing.
• Prepare investment memos and deal primers for the Investment Committee, presenting clear recommendations and supporting rationale.
• Develop and maintain exit strategies from the outset, mapping acquirer profiles, listing routes, and secondary paths throughout the investment hold period.
• Engage actively with portfolio companies post-investment, focusing on governance, reporting standards, follow-on strategy, and operational improvements.
• Collaborate with legal counsel to negotiate and execute investment documentation, ensuring attention to downside protections, governance rights, and structuring across fund entities.
• Contribute to the firm's growth thesis and develop sector-specific views relevant to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Performance Metrics for the First Twelve Months

Successful performance in the first year will be demonstrated by:

• Generating a proprietary pipeline of growth-stage opportunities within Saudi Arabia, moving beyond reactive engagement with existing processes.
• Successfully leading at least one transaction from origination through to the Investment Committee, with diligence and documentation that withstand scrutiny.
• Developing calibrated judgment, with recommendations viewed by the Investment Committee as a genuine and valuable input to decision-making.
