Safety Training Manager Role Overview

BAE Systems Saudi Arabia is seeking a Safety Training Manager for a full-time position based in Riyadh. This role is central to delivering comprehensive safety instruction, with a particular focus on workplace and environmental safety within a military aviation context. The position offers a competitive salary and involves ensuring high standards of safety training and compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Instruct students on Workplace and Environmental Safety, emphasizing aspects related to Flying Operations, Airfield Operations, and Aviation & Ground Support Equipment Maintenance/Usage, in accordance with approved syllabi.
• Develop and regularly review courseware based on associated Training Needs Analysis (TNA), recommending changes to course material and assessment content.
• Deliver or supervise demonstrations in relevant subject areas, conduct visits to areas of interest, and provide practical and multi-media demonstrations on workplace safety.
• Conduct regular assessments to monitor student academic progression and administer phase-end examinations to confirm training objectives have been achieved.
• Promote and foster independent learning and a military ethos within the training environment, providing ongoing evaluation of student discipline as part of their final assessment.
• Counsel and motivate students on academic and discipline issues as required.
• Record student academic assessment results, lesson attendance, and any discipline issues.
• Provide regular reports concerning student academic progress, lesson attendance, and discipline, reporting other relevant issues as necessary.
• Apply RSAF procedures for configuration control of curriculum and courseware, including preparing documentation and supporting data for change requests.
• Integrate new training materials or equipment into relevant courses and ensure all training equipment is properly maintained and stored.
• Contribute to the preparation of timetables, scheduling, and allocation of instructors.
• Operate training and operational equipment related to the specialty.
• Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) policy and processes, and fulfill Duty of Care responsibilities.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

• Must possess experience in safety within a technical-oriented or operational environment.
• Must have recent classroom experience as a Safety Instructor.

Desirable Experience

• A military aviation background.
• Technical experience in either manufacturing or maintenance.

The successful candidate will be expected to undertake all mandatory and developmental training as required by the Company. Adherence to acceptable standards of behaviour, dress, and performance, as defined in Company policy, is essential. This role also involves providing feedback to management to improve service performance and identify opportunities for enhancement.
