Senior Electrical Engineer

About the Role

ECEC East Consulting Engineering Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves overseeing the technical aspects of electrical systems to ensure compliance with design specifications, project requirements, and applicable codes. The position requires a professional with over 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.

Job Purpose

The Senior Electrical Engineer is responsible for the technical review, supervision, testing, commissioning, and coordination of electrical systems. This ensures all systems align with approved designs, specifications, project requirements, and relevant industry codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Review electrical IFC drawings, shop drawings, calculations, material submittals, method statements, and technical submissions.
• Supervise LV power distribution, lighting, emergency systems, grounding, lightning protection, and associated electrical systems.
• Review ELV systems including fire alarm, CCTV, access control, ICT/data, and other applicable systems.
• Review load calculations, single-line diagrams, equipment schedules, and technical data.
• Coordinate electrical systems with architectural, mechanical, structural, infrastructure, and other disciplines.
• Review RFIs and resolve electrical design, interface, and site technical issues.
• Conduct site inspections and review WIRs/MIRs.
• Monitor contractor performance, workmanship, progress, and quality.
• Review and witness testing and commissioning activities.
• Review NCRs and verify corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with SBC, SEC requirements, IEC, NFPA, and other applicable standards.
• Review as-built drawings, O&M manuals, warranties, and close-out documentation.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated ability to review and supervise complex electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of relevant codes and standards, including SBC, SEC requirements, IEC, and NFPA.
