Sr. Site Supervision Engineer (Aviation Exp)

About the Role

Egis is seeking a Sr. Site Supervision Engineer with aviation experience to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves the daily management and supervision of construction activities for an aviation-related project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and according to approved designs and specifications.

Role Overview

The Senior Site Supervision Engineer will serve as the Client/Consultant’s primary site representative, providing technical leadership and managing contractor execution. The role requires seamless coordination across Civil, Structural, Architectural, and MEP disciplines, working closely with dedicated project safety (HSE) and quality (QA/QC) teams to ensure compliance and progress.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee day-to-day construction activities as the primary site representative.
• Manage and coordinate contractor site activities to ensure compliance with approved documentation and standards.
• Monitor construction progress against the project schedule, identifying delays, risks, and corrective actions.
• Coordinate construction activities across multiple disciplines and interfaces to ensure effective sequencing.
• Review and provide technical input on shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and other construction documentation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, materials, testing, and installation for quality compliance.
• Coordinate with the Contractor, Client, consultants, airport stakeholders, authorities, and other project stakeholders.
• Identify construction issues, design discrepancies, and constructability concerns, coordinating timely resolution.
• Review and follow up on RFIs, NCRs, site instructions, technical queries, and corrective actions.
• Monitor and verify reported construction progress, providing input for progress reports and payment assessments.
• Participate in progress, coordination, technical, and construction meetings, leading site-level discussions as required.
• Maintain comprehensive records of site activities, inspections, instructions, progress, and outstanding works.
• Support the assessment and management of variations, claims, delays, and other contractual matters.
• Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections, snagging, and handover activities.
• Monitor the preparation and submission of as-built drawings, O&M manuals, test records, and other closeout documentation.
• Ensure construction activities are planned and coordinated to meet project milestones and operational requirements.
• Provide regular updates to the Project Manager on construction progress, key risks, issues, and required decisions.
• Collaborate with the HSE Manager and team to ensure alignment with the project’s health, safety, and environmental plan.
• Support the HSE team during site walks by identifying potential engineering/structural hazards and backing HSE enforcement.
• Prepare detailed daily, weekly, and monthly site progress reports.
• Assist Project Management in evaluating contractor monthly progress payment applications, site instructions, and technical variation requests.

Qualifications and Experience

• A Civil Engineering or Architecture background is required.
• Proven experience of 10+ years in aviation projects and complex construction environments.
• Experience preferably includes airside facilities and infrastructure.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, involving direct site supervision and coordination with various project stakeholders.
