This full-time role involves supporting electric utility clients in the design, implementation, and optimization of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) and Asset Performance Management (APM) solutions. The consultant will translate business and operational requirements into system configurations, process improvements, and data models to enhance reliability, compliance, and lifecycle value of utility assets across Generation, Transmission, and Distribution domains.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead or support requirement gathering, functional design, configuration, and implementation of EAM and APM platforms.
  • Act as a functional Subject Matter Expert (SME) for asset management processes during implementation projects, upgrades, and rollouts.
  • Support system configuration, validation, testing, and user acceptance activities.
  • Conduct As-Is / To-Be assessments, gap analysis, and process harmonization workshops with stakeholders.
  • Design and document end-to-end asset management processes, including work management, preventive and condition-based maintenance, asset lifecycle planning, and failure management.

  • Contribute to reliability and risk-based maintenance frameworks (RCM, RBM, FMECA/FMEA, AHI) for utility asset classes.
  • Support the translation of reliability and risk models into EAM/APM system logic, thresholds, and workflows.
  • Support APM use cases, including condition monitoring integration, asset health scoring, failure probability assessment, and predictive analytics enablement.
  • Work with data and analytics teams to ensure asset-centric data structures support APM outcomes.
  • Support asset data quality assessments, data cleansing initiatives, and master data alignment during EAM/APM implementations.
  • Assist in defining asset master data structures, hierarchies, naming conventions, and governance practices.
  • Support functional alignment and integration of EAM with SCADA, GIS, ERP, Field Service Management (FSM), and reporting platforms.
  • Collaborate with technical teams by providing functional input for integrations.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 5-10 years of experience in asset management systems, particularly with EAM and APM solutions. The position requires a strong functional understanding of asset management processes within electric utility environments. Demonstrated experience in solution delivery, process design, reliability engineering principles, data quality management, and system integration support is essential.
