About the Role

topEngineer is seeking an Associate Principal - Business Audit to join our team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of professional experience in audit. The role is central to ensuring robust internal controls and effective risk management across the organization's operational and financial functions.

Role Purpose

The Associate Principal - Business Audit is responsible for planning and executing risk-based business audit engagements. This involves providing independent assurance on the effectiveness of internal controls, governance frameworks, and risk management practices. The role supports the implementation of the approved audit plan, identifies opportunities for improvement, and provides recommendations designed to enhance operational efficiency, compliance, and overall organizational performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute audit planning activities and engagement execution.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments across various business areas.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
• Prepare detailed audit reports documenting findings and recommendations.
• Perform financial and operational reviews to assess performance and compliance.
• Follow up on corrective actions to ensure timely and effective implementation.
• Undertake special audits and investigations as required.
• Coordinate effectively with stakeholders and other audit teams.
• Review and assess existing policies, processes, and procedures.
• Address and evaluate aspects related to information security.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in a relevant audit role.
• Demonstrated experience in conducting risk-based audits and evaluating internal controls.
• Proven ability to prepare comprehensive audit reports and follow up on corrective actions.
• Good knowledge of governance principles, risk management frameworks, and audit standards and practices.

Preferred Certifications

Professional certification is preferred for this role. Candidates holding certifications such as CIA, CPA, ACCA, SOCPA, CISA, or an equivalent qualification are encouraged to apply.
