About the Role

BEC Arabia is seeking a dedicated Cost Control - MEP Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to managing and overseeing the financial aspects of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) packages within various construction projects.

Role Purpose and Scope

The primary objective of this role is to establish and maintain rigorous financial oversight and control over all MEP package costs. The Cost Control - MEP Engineer will be instrumental in monitoring expenditures across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and other related building services, ensuring adherence to budgetary constraints and contributing to the overall financial health of projects. This involves a proactive approach to cost management throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Track and analyze actual project costs against established budgets for MEP packages.
• Review and validate subcontractor invoices and claims to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Provide support in the assessment and management of project variations.
• Prepare detailed cost forecasts to predict future expenditures and potential financial impacts.
• Coordinate effectively with MEP, commercial, procurement, and project controls teams to ensure integrated cost management.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this position are required to have 2 to 5 years of experience in a cost control or MEP engineering capacity. This experience should ideally be gained within the construction or building services industry, demonstrating a practical understanding of project financials and MEP systems. A solid foundation in cost management principles and their application to complex engineering projects is considered essential.

Work Setting

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role involves working collaboratively within a project-focused environment, engaging with various internal departments to achieve cost efficiency and project success.
