About the Role

JAL International Co. Ltd. is seeking a skilled Cyber Security Analyst to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract position is crucial for monitoring, detecting, analyzing, and responding to cybersecurity threats and incidents. The role plays a key part in protecting the organization's digital assets, ensuring security policies are enforced, and supporting continuous improvements in our cybersecurity posture.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze security alerts generated by SIEM, EDR, NDR, and other security tools.
• Perform initial triage to classify alerts based on severity, relevance, and potential impact.
• Escalate validated alerts and suspicious activity to higher tiers of support, adhering to the established escalation matrix.
• Document all observations, actions taken, and collected evidence clearly within the ticketing system.
• Participate in daily Security Operations Center (SOC) handovers, providing concise and accurate updates to incoming shifts.
• Validate SIEM dashboards, correlation rules, and data source health at the beginning of each shift.
• Conduct basic phishing and malware analysis utilizing sandbox environments and threat intelligence tools.
• Identify repetitive false positive alerts and report them for tuning or rule optimization.
• Maintain strict shift discipline, follow established SOC playbooks and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensure compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in cybersecurity, IT security, or network/system administration.
• Proven work experience as a system security engineer or information security analyst.
• Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining security systems.
• Detailed technical knowledge of database and operating system security.
• Hands-on experience with various security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, and content filtering.
• Experience with network protocols, network administration, and network installation.
• Proficiency in preparing written reports and technical documentation.

• Understanding of Network Protocols, Network Administration, and Network Installation.

Work Environment and Contract Details

This is a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The ideal candidate will have 2-5 years of relevant experience.
