Data Strategy & Control Lead

About the Role

Riyad Bank is seeking a Data Strategy & Control Lead to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading the development, implementation, and monitoring of the bank's enterprise data strategy and governance controls. The successful candidate will ensure alignment with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and data management standards, while driving continuous improvement in data governance capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and continuous enhancement of Riyad Bank’s Enterprise Data Strategy.
• Develop and monitor data governance controls, standards, policies, and procedures across the Bank.
• Track the execution of strategic data initiatives and report progress against approved roadmaps and KPIs.
• Coordinate with business and technology stakeholders to ensure alignment of data initiatives with business priorities.
• Establish governance mechanisms to ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements related to data management.
• Monitor data governance maturity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Support enterprise-wide data governance forums and committees by preparing reports, dashboards, and decision-support materials.
• Coordinate the implementation of data-related regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Collaborate with Data Quality, Master Data, Metadata, Data Privacy, and Business Intelligence teams to ensure consistent governance practices.
• Lead assigned strategic initiatives and perform other related duties as required.

Policies, Processes & Procedures

This role assists in the development and execution of Data Strategy & Control policies, procedures, and controls for all sources of data within the bank. Daily activities include ensuring work processes are implemented as designed and comply with established policies, processes, and procedures.

Change Management and Continuous Improvement

The Data Strategy & Control Lead contributes to identifying opportunities for continuous improvement of systems, processes, and practices. This includes considering international best practices, enhancing business processes, reducing costs, and improving productivity.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
