About the Role

AVALON Pharma, a leading pharmaceutical and consumer healthcare company in the Middle East, is establishing a Digital Commerce function as part of its commercial transformation. This new function aims to integrate digital marketing, e-commerce, retail media, CRM, analytics, and commercial execution into a revenue-generating engine. We are seeking a commercially driven Digital Commerce & E-Commerce Team Leader to spearhead this initiative from our Riyadh, Saudi Arabia location. This is a full-time position with an undisclosed salary.

Role Purpose

The Digital Commerce & E-Commerce Team Leader will be responsible for developing and executing Avalon Pharma's Digital Commerce strategy to drive profitable growth across e-commerce platforms, marketplaces, quick commerce, and omnichannel partners. This role focuses on maximizing digital commercial performance by integrating consumer demand generation, digital shelf excellence, conversion optimization, retail media, CRM, analytics, and trade activation to accelerate both sell-out and sell-in performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the annual Digital Commerce strategy and build commercial business plans for key digital customers.
• Drive profitable sales growth across all digital channels, managing the digital P&L and investment priorities.
• Lead relationships with online retailers and marketplaces, optimizing product listings, digital shelf performance, search visibility, and online merchandising.
• Oversee performance marketing campaigns, manage retailer media investments, optimize ROAS and marketing ROI, and execute omnichannel promotional campaigns.
• Enhance the customer journey from awareness to repurchase by optimizing product detail pages, content, and developing CRM and customer retention initiatives.
• Develop digital dashboards and KPI reporting, monitor key metrics, translate insights into commercial actions, and forecast demand in collaboration with Commercial and Supply Chain teams.
• Partner closely with Marketing, Sales, Trade Marketing, Supply Chain, Regulatory Affairs, Finance, and Business Intelligence departments.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Pharmacy, Digital Commerce, or a related field; an MBA is considered a plus. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in Digital Commerce, E-Commerce, Digital Marketing, Commercial Excellence, or Omnichannel Sales. Experience within FMCG, Consumer Healthcare, Beauty, Retail, or Pharmaceutical sectors is highly preferred. Familiarity with platforms such as Nahdi, Al-Dawaa, Noon, Amazon, Nice One, Ounass, Trendyol, HungerStation, Jahez, and Keeta is advantageous. Strong experience in marketplace management and retail media, with a proven track record in growing digital sales and improving ROI, is essential.

Required Skills

• Proficiency in Digital Commerce, Marketplace Management, Retail Media, and Performance Marketing.
• Experience with CRM, SEO & Search Optimization, Google Analytics (GA4), Power BI, and Advanced Excel.
• Skills in Digital Shelf Analytics, Meta Ads, Google Ads, Amazon Ads, Data Analysis, and Commercial Financial Analysis.
• Strong commercial mindset, strategic thinking, analytical and financial skills, and a data-driven approach.
• Customer-centricity, influencing and stakeholder management abilities, excellent communication and presentation skills, ownership, accountability, and an agile, innovative mindset.

Work Environment and Impact

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is a full-time position.
