Field Engineer

About the Role

Parsons is seeking a Field Engineer to join its Construction Supervision team in Riyadh. This full-time position is site-based and involves working on a major landmark development project. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in construction supervision.

Project Context

The project encompasses the design, enabling, and main works for a large-scale destination development. This includes several iconic assets, hospitality facilities, and supporting infrastructure. As the Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC), Parsons is responsible for independent, end-to-end supervision and management to ensure all works are completed, integrated, tested, commissioned, and handed over in line with stringent program, quality, safety, and sustainability requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise construction activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and report on construction progress, quality, and safety performance.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and project stakeholders to resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Review method statements, inspection requests, material submissions, and work procedures.
• Verify that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved plans and applicable codes and standards.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules and identifying potential delays or risks.
• Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and inspection documentation.
• Support testing, commissioning, and handover activities.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and sustainability requirements.
• Assist the Resident Engineer and Construction Manager in the successful delivery of project objectives.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in construction supervision, inspection, or site engineering on major building or infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methodologies, quality control procedures, and industry standards.
• Experience reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and contractor submissions.
• Ability to identify and resolve construction-related issues effectively.
• Excellent coordination, communication, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant engineering software.

Desired Skills

• Experience working on mega projects, landmark developments, hospitality projects, convention centers, or large mixed-use developments.
• Previous experience within a Construction Supervision Consultant (CSC) environment.
• Familiarity with BIM-enabled project delivery processes.
• Knowledge of testing, commissioning, and handover requirements.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced project environment.
