Overview of the Role

Le Meridien is seeking a Front Office Supervisor to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position is central to ensuring a seamless and professional guest experience, primarily focusing on check-in and check-out processes, account management, and guest satisfaction. The supervisor plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency and upholding service standards at the front desk.

Core Responsibilities: Guest Services

  • Process all guest check-ins, including verifying identity, confirming payment methods, assigning rooms, and activating/issuing room keys.
  • Set up accurate guest accounts according to individual requirements and enter Marriott Rewards information.
  • Ensure room rates align with market codes and document any exceptions.
  • Provide guests with directions and comprehensive property information.
  • Accommodate guest requests, coordinating with appropriate staff as needed, and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Welcome and acknowledge all guests, anticipate and address service needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and express genuine appreciation.

Financial and Administrative Duties

  • Secure payment before issuing room keys and verify/adjust billing as necessary.
  • Compile and review daily reports, logs, and contingency lists.
  • Complete cashier and closing reports accurately.
  • Process all payment types, vouchers, paid-outs, and charges.
  • Balance and drop receipts, and count/secure the bank at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Obtain manual authorizations and adhere to all Accounting procedures.
  • Notify Loss Prevention/Security of any guest reports of theft.

Team Leadership and Support

  • Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating, and coaching front office employees.
  • Serve as a role model and the initial point of contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy process.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support the team in achieving common goals, and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

Qualifications and Professional Standards

  • A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in a front office or hospitality supervisory role.
  • Ability to follow company policies and procedures, report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management, and complete required safety training and certifications.
  • Maintain a clean and professional personal appearance, ensure confidentiality of proprietary information, and protect company assets.
  • Communicate using clear and professional language, prepare and review written documents accurately and completely, and answer telephones with appropriate etiquette.
  • Proficiency in entering and locating information using computers and POS systems.
  • Ability to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods, and move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance.

The Front Office Supervisor is expected to perform all reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors, contributing to the overall success of the front office operations and guest satisfaction.
