Golf Senior PGA Teaching Professional

About the Role

Qiddiya is seeking a Golf Senior PGA Teaching Professional to serve as the most senior coach at Qiddiya Golf during Phase 1. This full-time role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is responsible for upholding the club's instructional standards and delivering world-class coaching to a diverse clientele. The Senior PGA Teaching Professional will lead the Golf Academy's daily program, mentor other teaching professionals, and ensure the quality and commercial performance of all instructional offerings.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a comprehensive weekly schedule of private lessons, playing lessons, short-game sessions, and on-course coaching tailored to individual player goals and profiles.
• Coach discerning clientele, including VIPs, low-handicap golfers, and visiting dignitaries, maintaining a high standard of discretion and service.
• Develop and implement individual development plans for regular students, tracking progress within the academy's student-management platform.
• Lead high-performance coaching for elite juniors and aspiring amateur players preparing for competition.
• Design, launch, and refine the academy curriculum, including beginner pathways, ladies' programs, junior academy levels, short-game schools, and performance squads.
• Manage the daily coaching calendar and booking flow to align lesson capacity with demand and facility availability.
• Set and audit the "Qiddiya Coaching Standard" for lesson structure, communication, follow-up, punctuality, and presentation of teaching bays.
• Develop academy packages, golf schools, and corporate golf clinics in collaboration with Sales and Events.
• Lead, mentor, and evaluate PGA Teaching Professionals and Assistant Professionals through regular observations and feedback.
• Conduct internal coaching workshops and continuing professional development to ensure a consistent instructional philosophy.
• Support Saudi national development initiatives by mentoring Saudi PGA trainees and assistant coaches.
• Act as the club's lead specialist for launch monitors, 3D motion capture, pressure plates, putting analysis, and video systems, providing clear data interpretation.
• Ensure teaching studio/simulator and range technology are calibrated, maintained, and presented to an immaculate standard.
• Conduct custom club-fitting sessions in partnership with Retail, recommending appropriate equipment.
• Integrate fitness and mobility screening into player assessments, liaising with external specialists as needed.
• Achieve agreed academy revenue, lesson utilization, and student-retention targets, reporting monthly performance.
• Convert lesson students into repeat clients, academy members, and fittings through service and follow-up.
• Monitor guest feedback and lesson satisfaction, resolving concerns promptly.
• Contribute to the academy budget, pricing proposals, and product mix, and recommend investments in coaching technology.
• Lead the junior academy, ensuring safeguarding compliance, parent communication, and structured progression.
• Champion the growth of women's and family golf through welcoming and culturally considerate programs.
• Collaborate with Golf Saudi and the Saudi Golf Federation on grassroots, school, and talent-identification initiatives.
• Document academy processes, curricula, and student records for a seamless handover to the incoming Director of Instruction in 2028.
• Provide practical input into the design and specification of the permanent academy and practice facilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in golf instruction.
• Accomplished, technology-fluent coach with a natural mentorship ability.
• Capable of inspiring first-time golfers and refining scratch players.

Work Environment

This role involves working closely with the Golf Operations Manager / Head of Golf and Golf Operations Supervisor on range and simulator logistics, with Retail on custom fitting and equipment sales, and with the Events Team and sales on academy programs. Collaboration with Golf Saudi and the Saudi Golf Federation on junior, women's, and national player development initiatives aligned with Saudi Vision 2030 is also a key aspect of the position.
