About the Role

Tabby is seeking a Lead, Financial Reporting for a full-time position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is central to supporting finance operations for Tabby's Saudi Arabia entity, ensuring accurate financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and robust financial governance. The successful candidate will play a key part in strengthening finance processes and contributing to a scalable finance function within one of the company's fastest-growing markets.

Core Purpose of the Role

The Lead, Financial Reporting will support and oversee statutory reporting, tax compliance, treasury functions, external audits, and internal controls. This position requires close partnership with cross-functional teams to facilitate business growth and support new product launches. A primary focus will be maintaining compliance with SAMA, ZATCA, SOCPA, and IFRS requirements.

Key Financial Reporting Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close for KSA, ensuring accuracy, timeliness (D+3 target), and completeness.
  • Prepare IFRS financial statements, incorporating local (SOCPA) adjustments, along with supporting schedules and reconciliations.
  • Ensure correct application of IFRS (specifically IFRS 9, 15, 16) and SOCPA standards in financial statements, maintaining well-documented accounting positions.
  • Prepare and support ZATCA filings (CIT, Zakat, VAT, WHT, CTDF) and SAMA regulatory/prudential returns, ensuring reconciliation to financial statements.
  • Perform balance-sheet reconciliations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
  • Support provisioning and Expected Credit Loss (ECL) calculations under IFRS 9 for customer and merchant receivables.
  • Assist with external audits by preparing audit-ready financials with comprehensive documentation and serving as a primary contact for auditors on reporting matters.

Operational and Strategic Responsibilities

  • Maintain and strengthen internal controls, reconciliations, and segregation of duties across all reporting processes.
  • Support treasury and settlement reporting, including related reconciliations for bank accounts and merchant settlements.
  • Assist with intercompany and transfer-pricing reporting in coordination with the Group Tax team.
  • Drive process improvements and support ERP (Oracle NetSuite) reporting, data integrity, and automation initiatives.
  • Mentor and review the work of junior finance team members.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Compliance, Legal, Product, and Operations teams to ensure finance readiness for new product launches (*, wallet, BNPL, cards, remittance, loyalty/cashback).

Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in financial reporting or a related finance role.
  • Demonstrated expertise in IFRS (particularly IFRS 9, 15, 16) and SOCPA standards.
  • Proven experience with SAMA and ZATCA regulatory requirements and filings.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail in financial statement preparation and reconciliation.
  • Experience with ERP systems, preferably Oracle NetSuite, and a focus on process automation.
