The Product Designer Role

Almosafer is seeking a Product Designer to join its team in Riyadh. This is a full-time position focused on enhancing the Digital Consumer Travel experience. The Product Designer will contribute to shaping how customers book and manage a range of travel products, including flights, accommodations, and activities. This role involves working within a cross-functional team of engineers, product managers, and other designers to translate challenges and opportunities into impactful user experiences. Success in this position requires a deep understanding of customer needs, business objectives, market trends, and system knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and understand customer needs, behaviors, and pain points to define opportunities and problem statements that guide team efforts.
• Lead and support discovery activities, such as user interviews, surveys, and usability tests, to uncover customer needs and validate opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to address customer problems and deliver effective solutions across web and mobile platforms.
• Integrate business needs, technical constraints, data insights, and platform requirements to produce valuable solutions.
• Translate opportunities into intuitive and effective experiences that provide customer and business value.
• Develop concepts and prototypes efficiently, discerning when further ideation, testing, or directional changes are necessary.
• Conduct experiments regularly to validate assumptions and optimize solutions.

Qualifications and Skills

• 2-5 years of experience in product design or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of product strategy and business requirements, with a focus on customer needs and pain points.
• A design thinking approach and strong problem-solving abilities, with a commitment to understanding customers, business contexts, and problems.
• Proficiency in planning and conducting research, including interviews, usability tests, and surveys, and integrating insights into the design process.
• Effective communication skills to articulate design work and convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience across the entire product design cycle, from UX research, wireframing, and prototyping to final design, implementation, and optimization.
