About the Opportunity

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Project Engineer Civil (SS) to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is designed for professionals with foundational experience in civil engineering projects, specifically within the substation sector. The role offers an opportunity to contribute to significant infrastructure development in the region.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer Civil (SS) will play a crucial role in the execution and coordination of civil works for various projects, with a particular emphasis on substation developments. This position involves managing project requirements, overseeing resource allocation, and ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with internal departments and external contractors to achieve project objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Understand project requirements and scope of works, preparing time schedules in coordination with the Project Manager / Planning Engineer.
Execute Civil works in coordination with the inter-department team and all Civil sub-contractors.
Coordinate with the Design team / SEC for substation projects.
Estimate the Bill of Quantity (BOQ) for civil works.
Assist in preparing cost estimates, budgets, and financial projections.
Arrange resources for structural and finishing works to ensure smooth project execution.
Identify and develop a qualified and reliable vendor base for supply/subcontractor category items.
Control project costs within the approved budget.
Monitor the project time schedule on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, initiating corrective action for any deviations.
Coordinate and follow up with vendors for material deliveries as per agreed schedules.
Ensure closure of Civil related punch points.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 0-1 years of experience in civil engineering or a closely related field. A foundational understanding of civil works execution, project coordination, and cost control principles is essential for success in this position.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role operates within a dynamic project environment, requiring collaboration with various engineering disciplines, contractors, and suppliers to deliver complex civil infrastructure projects.
