About the Role
Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a diligent and organized Purchasing Clerk. This full-time, non-management position is suitable for individuals with 0-1 year of experience looking to start a career in procurement within the hospitality sector. The Purchasing Clerk will be instrumental in managing inventory, processing orders, and ensuring the efficient operation of the hotel's supply chain, contributing to the distinctive guest experience Le Méridien is known for.

Key Responsibilities
- Calculate figures for food inventories, orders, and associated costs.
- Maintain organized records, ensuring all reports and invoices are filed properly.
- Post invoices accurately using designated computer programs.
- Conduct inventory audits to determine current stock levels and identify needs.
- Complete requisition forms for necessary inventory and supplies.
- Notify the manager or supervisor promptly of low stock levels.
- Verify and track received inventory, completing inventory reports and logs.
- Reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports to ensure count accuracy.
- Receive, unload, and process deliveries efficiently.
- Refuse acceptance of any damaged, unacceptable, or incorrect items.
- Troubleshoot vendor delivery issues and oversee the return process for discrepancies.
- Adhere strictly to food safety and handling policies and procedures.
- Monitor PAR levels for all food items to ensure proper stock is maintained.
- Report any accidents, injuries, or unsafe working conditions to the manager.
- Complete all required safety training and certifications.
- Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.
- Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
- Maintain the confidentiality of proprietary company information.
- Protect company assets through careful management and oversight.
- Speak with others using clear and professional language.
- Prepare and review written documents accurately and completely.
- Answer telephones using appropriate professional etiquette.
- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues and vendors.
- Support the team to reach common goals and objectives.
- Listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
- Comply with all quality assurance expectations and standards.
- Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats, including small print.
- Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify any defects.
- Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
- Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces as required by the role.
- Move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces safely.
- Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
- Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
Qualifications and Requirements
- High school diploma or *** equivalent is preferred.
- At least 1 year of related work experience is preferred.
- No supervisory experience is required for this role.
- No specific licenses or certifications are required.
