About RAWAJ and the Role

RAWAJ, a leading Saudi contractor specializing in high-quality large-scale residential projects, is seeking a dedicated QA/QC Architectural Inspector. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and offers an opportunity to contribute to significant developments across Saudi Arabia.

Role Purpose

The primary purpose of this role is to ensure all architectural works are executed in full compliance with project specifications, approved drawings, applicable codes, and established quality standards. The inspector will maintain effective quality control throughout all project phases to facilitate successful project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all architectural works are executed in accordance with approved IFC drawings, project specifications, approved material submittals, and applicable standards.
  • Conduct regular site inspections for architectural and finishing works, including blockwork, plastering, screeding, waterproofing, tiling, marble, gypsum partitions, ceilings, painting, flooring, joinery, aluminum works, doors, façade, and architectural finishes.
  • Review and verify shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), and architectural specifications.
  • Raise, monitor, and close Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), Material Inspection Requests (MIRs), Site Observation Reports (SORs), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
  • Verify mock-ups, benchmark areas, and sample installations prior to the commencement of bulk construction activities.
  • Monitor subcontractor performance to ensure adherence to QA/QC procedures, project specifications, approved drawings, and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with construction, engineering teams, consultants, and subcontractors to effectively resolve architectural quality issues and technical discrepancies.
  • Conduct inspections of architectural materials upon delivery to confirm compliance with approved material submittals and project specifications.
  • Verify installation quality, workmanship, dimensions, levels, alignment, tolerances, and finishing standards.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports, and maintain comprehensive quality records and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support testing activities, snagging, de-snagging, final inspections, project close-out, and handover documentation.
  • Ensure full compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), project specifications, consultant requirements, and international quality standards.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess 5 to 10 years of experience in a QA/QC architectural inspection role, preferably within large-scale residential or similar construction projects.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to coordinate effectively with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong communication, reporting, and documentation skills.
  • Proven ability to work effectively under pressure, manage multiple site activities concurrently, and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
