The Risk Engineer Role

We are seeking a Risk Engineer to join our team in Middle Oraija Dist, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to providing advice, direction, and assurance concerning risk processes within projects. The role requires extensive interaction with various levels and functions of the project team, including Engineering and Delivery. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience in risk management within project environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate the identification, assessment, and prioritization of project threats, opportunities, and issues.
• Maintain visibility of threat/opportunity trigger points to support risk cost profiling, timely drawdown of risk budgets, or retirement of threats/opportunities.
• Utilize risk data to inform investment planning decisions.
• Assist with the identification and recording of measurable and specific management responses, and assess post-mitigated positions.
• Monitor overall risk exposure and evaluate it against the remaining Risk budget.
• Proactively manage the completion of defined management responses.
• Collaborate with contractors to assess contractor-held risks and their perspectives on client-held risks that impact them.
• Produce timely risk reports as required to effectively communicate threat and opportunity status.
• Conduct quantitative risk assessments for both cost and schedule to inform project contingency levels.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement

The Risk Engineer will establish and maintain close working relationships with Function Managers, Project Controls Managers, Finance team personnel, and the Project Management, Procurement, and Commercial functions. This role also involves representing the project with key external stakeholders, including contract partners, regulators, auditors, and investors, ensuring clear communication and alignment on risk-related matters.
