The Role of Sales Engineer

Sika is seeking a Sales Engineer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is critical for driving sales performance and cultivating long-term customer relationships. The Sales Engineer will be responsible for managing regional sales, achieving targets, and providing expert guidance on Sika products and systems to address construction challenges.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute strategic plans to establish and maintain account relationships, aiming to meet or exceed personal sales targets for assigned accounts through professional consultations and site visits.
Assume full accountability for regional/country sales performance and target achievement, actively participating in all sales activities within the designated territory.
Collaborate with segment and distribution managers to develop and optimize sales channels, aligning with company growth strategies.
Provide expert guidance to customers in overcoming construction challenges using Sika products and systems.
Maintain and expand the existing customer base while increasing the customer portfolio in accordance with company growth objectives.
Implement regional strategies and structure market channels, including cultivating new applicators, expanding existing partnerships, and establishing distribution networks, in close alignment with regional, segment, and distribution managers.
Conduct comprehensive market research, including data collection, analysis, and evaluation of market trends, product applications, technology advancements, and service requirements to identify new business opportunities.
Compile and maintain a competitor grid, conducting thorough benchmarking on competitors' positioning and product performance.
Lead the professional introduction of new products to customers, ensuring clear communication of product benefits and applications.
Address customer requests, complaints, and inquiries professionally and urgently, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction in service quality and pricing.
Liaise with sales coordinators and supply chain teams (logistics, procurement, production) to ensure timely fulfillment of delivery commitments.
Conduct and lead weekly sales meetings, providing strategic guidance on activity plans.
Prepare and submit comprehensive monthly reports as required by management, including updates to the project tracking list.
Develop and maintain accurate three-month rolling forecasts based on current sales activities, ongoing projects, and anticipated opportunities.
Monitor and manage customer payment processes to ensure timely receipt of receivables, collaborating with the collection team to minimize overdue accounts.
