About the Sales Manager Role

iHorizons is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a sales team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience to drive revenue targets and manage client relationships. The Sales Manager will report to the Head of Sales or BU Head, with Senior Sales Executives and Sales Executives reporting into this role.

Role Objectives and Responsibilities

The primary objective of this role is to build and manage a high-performing sales team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and targets. Key responsibilities include:

  • Sales Cycle Ownership: Manage the entire sales cycle for both individual and team performance, focusing on lead generation through professional networks, cold calling, and other effective methods. This includes developing solutions with clients, positioning iHorizons, managing the bidding process, and owning contract negotiations and sign-off. A smooth handover to the delivery team is also a key responsibility.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Foster and maintain strong relationships with key client stakeholders, including senior business and financial executives, as well as technical decision-makers. Regular customer visits and appropriate entertainment are expected to build and strengthen business opportunities. Ensure all internal departments understand and respond to customer requirements effectively.
  • Revenue Generation and Reporting: Ensure the sales team meets and exceeds revenue targets while maintaining acceptable gross profit margins. Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts, reporting regularly to senior management on customer revenue, variances, and market intelligence regarding clients, competitors, and partners.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Studies, Computer Sciences, or a related field. A Master’s degree in business studies is highly desirable.
  • Evidence of continued education in Sales and Technology.
  • 10-12 years of post-qualification professional experience, with 5-8 years in a client-facing sales role as an individual contributor.
  • The last few years of experience must be in a team management role, managing a team of at least 4-5 members. Experience managing frontline sales teams is mandatory.
  • Mandatory experience in customized IT solution sales.
  • Highly desirable experience in sales within the “Digital” space and in customized software solutions selling, with a track record of consistent success.
  • Sales experience in the Middle East, specifically in Saudi Arabia, is highly desirable. Experience in sales and sales team management in the GCC is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Fluency in both Arabic and English is required.
