About the Role

EY Saudi Arabia (Ernst & Young) is seeking a Senior Manager to join its Audit team in Riyadh. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and is designed for experienced professionals looking to lead complex audit engagements and contribute to business growth. The role involves building and strengthening client relationships while ensuring the delivery of high-quality audit services.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Manager, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of audit engagements. This includes defining the audit strategy in consultation with Associate Partners or Partners and executing it in accordance with Ernst & Young's policies and protocols. You will also personally conduct complex audit procedures and lead teams or portions of teams on engagements, depending on their scale. Additionally, you will assist in managing the financial aspects of engagements, including staffing, fee tracking, and communicating issues to project leaders. Participation in business development initiatives is also a key part of this role.

Core Duties and Expectations

  • Lead and manage complex audit engagements, ensuring adherence to EY policies and protocols.
  • Develop and execute audit strategies in collaboration with senior leadership.
  • Perform complex audit procedures and guide engagement teams.
  • Identify and escalate potential risks to clients and the firm.
  • Foster a positive learning environment and mentor junior team members.
  • Contribute to business development activities.

Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of professional experience, with at least nine years in external audit.
  • A strong academic record.
  • A professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CPA, or CA.
  • Experience working with a Big 4 accounting firm.

Preferred Attributes

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate:

  • Experience with risk-based audit processes.
  • Proven coaching, mentoring, and counselling abilities.
  • Experience working within the Middle East & North Africa (MENA) region.
  • Proficiency in the Arabic language.
