About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Senior Physical Therapist for a full-time position. This role involves delivering advanced physical therapy services, providing supervision to junior staff, internship students, volunteers, and residents, and supporting clinical quality improvement initiatives. The Senior Physical Therapist will also contribute to service development, combining expert clinical practice with leadership, education, and operational support to ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based patient care. The position reports to the area supervisor and requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Review physical therapy requests and patient records to determine the appropriate course of therapy.
• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized goals and treatment plans for patients.
• Plan and administer physical therapy programs to maximize patient function, relieve pain, and prevent disability.
• Develop treatment protocols and home programs based on evidence-based practice, monitoring patient progress and modifying plans as needed.
• Ensure accurate, timely, and complete documentation in patient medical records.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare personnel regarding treatment objectives and act as a resource for physical therapy-related issues.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions.
• Provide peer review to staff physical therapists rotating through areas of specialty, contribute information for their performance evaluations, and serve as a resource for complex cases.
• Incorporate quality improvement strategies into clinical practice.
• Support scheduling, workload distribution, and service coverage as required.
• Assist in the orientation and competency assessment of new staff.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical audits, research activities, and self-education, such as presenting in-service training or case studies.
• Adhere to all hospital-related policies and procedures.
• Participate in self and others' education, training, and development as applicable.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in physical therapy.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver advanced physical therapy services.
• Experience in supervising junior staff, internship students, volunteers, and residents.
• Proficiency in developing and implementing evidence-based treatment protocols and home programs.

Required Skills

• Strong clinical practice skills in physical therapy.
• Leadership and educational capabilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for consulting with healthcare personnel and participating in multidisciplinary teams.
