The Role: Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF) Team Leader

We are seeking a Maintenance Operations Flight (MOF) Team Leader to join our team in Taif. This full-time position offers a competitive salary and involves advising and assisting the MOF Commander (MOFC) in the daily management of MOF responsibilities. The role ensures that all personnel are appropriately qualified and adhere to established processes and procedures within their assigned areas. You will also serve as the primary point of contact between the Integrated Logistics Operations Centre (ILOC) and the MOF for the strategic and tactical maintenance management of the assigned Typhoon fleet, supervising and managing both Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) personnel and BAE Systems staff, while also mentoring and developing RSAF counterparts.

Key Responsibilities

• Control and supervise all engineering and maintenance operations personnel within the designated area of responsibility.
• Act as the Point of Contact (POC) with the ILOC for implementing HQ strategy within the maintenance organisation.
• Ensure all continuing airworthiness and maintenance operations activities comply with current processes and procedures, carried out by authorised, qualified, and competent personnel.
• Ensure adherence to RSAF procedures as outlined in the Logistics Management Regulation (LMR) by all personnel under control.
• Coach, mentor, and deliver consolidation development to RSAF and BAE personnel.
• Promote and ensure Health and Safety practices, mitigating unnecessary or uncontrolled risks.
• Maintain and update MOF local procedures and orders, ensuring their ready availability.
• Ensure accurate reporting of aircraft status, ETICS, and Rob authorisations.
• Oversee the personal and career development of subordinates within the organisational structure.
• Ensure staff under leadership understand and implement Safety Management Systems and Maintenance Error Management Systems.
• Coordinate Engineering & Logistical support for Typhoon aircraft based at Taif or deployed on operations, exercises, or trials.
• Plan, implement, and monitor maintenance efforts to meet operational deployments of the Typhoon AGF as directed by the Maintenance Squadron Commander (MSC).
• Compile and present the Daily Maintenance Brief to the MSC and Senior Company Management, accurately presenting the Fleet Status.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Educated to HNC level or a recognised equivalent, or possess relevant experience supported by formal, recorded workplace applied training.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a high-tempo, aircraft maintenance delivery-driven environment.
• Proven managerial experience within the aerospace industry, preferably gained on 3rd and/or 4th Generation military aircraft at Supervisor level or equivalent.
• Completion of a recognised aircraft engineering apprenticeship in industry/military or a similar qualification in aircraft systems.
• Extensive post-qualification experience in military fast jet maintenance support within an operational military flying environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills for coordinating activities, communicating effectively, influencing, and directing decision-making.
• Solid understanding of company processes, procedures, and industry knowledge.
• Ability to act on own initiative within the scope of the job.
• A conscientious approach to work with meticulous attention to detail.

Desired Attributes

• An understanding of the RSAF Logistics Management Regulation (LMR).
• An understanding of engineering operations procedures within a Maintenance Operations Control environment.
• Experience working in the aviation industry in a Gulf Coast Country.
• A track record of meeting strict deadlines without compromising standards and quality.
• Previous experience within an Engineering Operations environment.
