About the Role

Bechtel Corporation is seeking a Supervisor Substations for a full-time position in Saudi Arabia. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and organizing subcontractor planning, safety, quality, and technical activities on a complex project. The position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience, focusing on ensuring operations align with established schedules and that work methods are executed safely.

Project Overview: Ar Rjum

The Ar Rjum Project is a greenfield gold project situated within the Central Arabian Gold Region. Its location is approximately 200 km north-east of Taif towards Riyadh and about 26 km South of Al Mouwayh, a town on the Jeddah - Riyadh highway. This extensive project includes three open pit mining operations with associated waste dumps and ore stockpiles, a processing plant, tailings management facilities, and comprehensive supporting infrastructure. The infrastructure encompasses water supply, power supply, maintenance facilities, offices, and both temporary and permanent accommodation villages.

General Supervision and Coordination

The Supervisor Substations will provide field supervision and direction to subcontractor activities, ensuring project objectives are met through effective coordination and instruction of subcontractor management staff. Key responsibilities include:

• Monitoring and directing subcontractor activities within the designated area of responsibility.
• Supporting large, highly complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.

Planning and Schedule Management

This role involves significant planning and coordination efforts to ensure project timelines and resource allocations are optimized. Specific tasks include:

• Reviewing and monitoring subcontractor construction schedules, resource charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Reviewing and approving, where necessary, subcontractor construction methods, schedules, manning charts, and material and equipment requirements.
• Leading the assessment of construction operations' impact on external interfaces to ensure alignment with overall established schedules.

Safety, Quality, and Technical Oversight

Ensuring adherence to safety standards, quality specifications, and technical requirements is paramount. The supervisor will:

• Monitor the installation of materials and equipment to assure conformance with drawings, specifications, vendor documents, and other project requirements.
• Implement and enforce policies, procedures, and related work rules established by field construction management.
• Collaborate with Construction Field Engineers, Foremen, and Craft Professionals in interpreting Engineering design documents, vendor documents, and other technical documents.
• Coordinate engineering solutions with Subcontractors, Foremen, and Craft Professionals.
• Coordinate with the Design team on constructability issues.

Experience Requirements

Candidates for this position should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant field, demonstrating a strong background in supervising substation activities within complex construction projects.
