About the Role

Johns Hopkins Aramco Healthcare (JHAH) is seeking a Cancer Care Nurse 3 to join our full-time team in Dhahran. This role is central to providing advanced-level nursing care within an assigned unit, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience. The Cancer Care Nurse 3 supports operational processes, maintains high standards of patient care, assists in resolving complex clinical issues, and mentors intermediate-level nurses, collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure efficient care delivery.

Key Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

• Delivering high-quality nursing care services, with a specific focus on complex cases.
• Assisting in managing workflow, ensuring proper resource utilization, and providing mentorship to junior nurses.
• Precepting new hires and trainees during their probation training period and contributing recommendations regarding their progress and training needs.
• Utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document patient care from admission through discharge, tailored to the patient's age.
• Providing patient and family education consistent with the plan of care and patient needs, respecting their privacy, dignity, personal preference, and culture.
• Responding promptly and effectively to emergency and life-saving situations by utilizing clinical skills, critical thinking, and evidence-based practices.
• Performing a wide range of nursing procedures with attention to accuracy, patient safety, and comfort, while maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment.
• Managing patients with invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, including close monitoring and assessments of treatment and care coordination.
• Contributing to strategic initiatives aimed at improving nursing practices and participating in the development of protocols to enhance patient safety and operational efficiency.
• Achieving and maintaining the mandated set of activities for Level 3, which requires a minimum total of 20 points in at least four categories within each 12-month cycle as outlined in the Clinical Advancement Program.
• Supporting the empowerment of nurses through the enculturation of the JHAH nursing Professional Practice Model.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of 2-5 years of experience in nursing, preferably within cancer care or a related advanced clinical setting.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver advanced-level nursing care and manage complex patient cases.
• Proven capacity to mentor and guide intermediate and junior nursing staff.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills in clinical scenarios.
• Commitment to upholding high standards of patient safety, quality of care, and patient experience.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
