Financial Controller

About the Role

Plant.Digital is seeking a Financial Controller to oversee the financial operations of the company. This full-time position is based in Dhahran, Eastern region, and is critical for ensuring financial health, accurate reporting, and compliance with relevant regulations. The role requires 5-10 years of experience in finance and accounting.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, including financial reporting.
• Manage the company’s cash flow to ensure adequate funds for daily operations.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.
• Prepare and manage executive management reports and address related queries.
• Handle ad-hoc reports and tasks assigned by executive management.

Budgeting and Financial Oversight

• Contribute to the development of annual budgets and business plans.
• Oversee the management of annual budgets and financial forecasts.
• Monitor financial performance against the budget and implement adjustments as necessary.

Audit and Tax Management

• Oversee and coordinate audit activities, including statutory audits, IKTVA, and local content audits.
• Collaborate with external auditors to finalize audit reports.
• Supervise the finalization and submission of tax returns in coordination with tax advisors (Zakat, Income Tax, Withholding Tax, and VAT).
• Review returns for filing with ZATCA.
• Lead and manage teams responsible for ZATCA assessments and queries.

Compliance, Risk, and People Management

• Ensure adherence to accounting principles and regulatory standards, including tax laws and reporting requirements.
• Establish and maintain internal financial controls to prevent fraud and errors.
• Identify financial risks and implement effective mitigation strategies, offering guidance on managing risks and capitalizing on opportunities.
• Supervise and manage the finance team, including accountants and other financial staff, ensuring they are well-trained, motivated, and aligned with organizational goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
• Accounting qualifications such as CMA, CPA, or CA are preferable.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in finance/accounting.
• A minimum of 3 years in a team leading position.
