Role Overview: Toyota Technician

Abdul Latif Jameel is seeking a Toyota Technician to join its full-time team in Yanbu, Al Madinah, Saudi Arabia. This role is responsible for performing mechanical repair services and other related works within the service center. The primary objective is to achieve targets in customer satisfaction and gross service sales by adhering to the company's mission, vision, values, and standard operating procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform mechanical repairs as per customer requests, ensuring proper execution, timely completion, and adherence to estimated costs under Chief Technician supervision.
• Conduct preliminary vehicle inspections and evaluations using appropriate tools and equipment to accurately assess damage and determine the extent of repair.
• Participate in resolving complex technical problems with the assistance of Team Leaders (Workshop Production Manager/Chief Technician) through testing and examination.
• Execute after-sales responsibilities, including vehicle repairs and periodic maintenance, in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction by adopting a Guest-Centric mindset and adhering to service standards.
• Coordinate with the Job Controller for accurate data entry (operation numbers), recording repairs, and updating vehicle delivery status using Computerized Time Control Sheets for productivity analysis.
• Receive and apply technical information, service bulletins, and daily updates from the Team Leader to enhance technical skills and ensure smooth after-sales operations.
• Support center after-sales marketing campaigns, promote Kaizen activities, and contribute to business strategy adjustments to achieve set center targets.
• Ensure the suitable use of all service facilities, tools, and equipment, adhering to company policies related to safety, welfare, integrity, and brand image.
• Execute assigned activities according to company Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), coordinating with center service teams to achieve pre-determined operational targets.
• Adhere to the 5S concept (Sorting, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to maintain a clean and organized workplace.
• Ensure work completion meets required quality standards by following Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) guidelines and utilizing correct tools.
• Achieve standard sold hours versus attending hours.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 2-5 years of relevant experience in mechanical repair services.
• Proficiency in implementing Abdul Latif Jameel (ALJ) and Toyota Motor Corporation (TMC) policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to service.
• Familiarity with Service Operation compliance policies.
• Knowledge of Mechanical Kodawari principles.

This position has a direct impact on sold working hours and customer satisfaction. The Technician operates within a defined framework that requires strict adherence to ALJ and TMC Policies and SOPs related to service, as well as compliance with Service Operation policies. A strong understanding of Mechanical Kodawari is essential for the effective execution of this role.
