About the Role

Raffles The Red Sea, located in Umluj, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a professional and customer-focused In Room Dining Order Taker. This full-time position involves being the primary point of contact for guests ordering food and beverages to their rooms, ensuring exceptional service that aligns with luxury hospitality standards. The role requires accurate and efficient order processing, providing personalized recommendations, and ensuring every guest interaction meets high expectations.

Context of Raffles The Red Sea

Raffles & Fairmont Red Sea is part of the Red Sea Project, a nature-focused resort development. The resort will feature 361 rooms, eleven dining concepts, and a spa, situated near an 18-hole championship golf course. It is being developed with a focus on sustainable practices along 200km of coastline, encompassing islands, marine habitats, and archaeological sites. The resort is located in Umluj, within the Tabuk region.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to in-room dining calls promptly and professionally, providing guests with menu information and recommendations.
• Accurately record guest orders in the point-of-sale system, ensuring all special requests and dietary requirements are clearly documented.
• Communicate orders to the kitchen and room service teams in a timely manner to maintain service efficiency.
• Address guest inquiries regarding menu items, pricing, and service options with knowledge and courtesy.
• Accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions while adhering to service standards.
• Resolve guest concerns and complaints with professionalism, escalating issues when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of orders and guest preferences to enhance future service experiences.
• Adhere to all food safety, hygiene, and service protocols established by the hotel.
• Coordinate with room service staff to ensure timely delivery and guest satisfaction.
• Manage multiple tasks effectively during peak service periods while maintaining quality and attention to detail.

Qualifications and Experience

• Proven customer service experience in a hospitality or food service environment.
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
• Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer literacy.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Professional phone etiquette and a courteous demeanor.
• Familiarity with dietary restrictions and food allergies is preferred.
• Knowledge of fine dining service standards and menu terminology is preferred.
• Multilingual capabilities, particularly Arabic and English, are preferred.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle guest requests with flexibility.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining composure.
• Experience level of 0-1 year is required.
