The Role of a Pool Cleaner

As a Pool Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of all pool areas on the property. This full-time position ensures that pools, surrounding areas, and equipment adhere to the highest standards of hygiene and safety, providing a pleasant and secure experience for our guests. Your role involves daily cleaning, monitoring water quality, and overseeing the maintenance of all pool-related equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain all pools, including skimming, vacuuming, and brushing pool surfaces, walls, and floors.
• Monitor and maintain pool water quality, ensuring proper chemical balance and adjusting treatments as necessary.
• Ensure the proper functioning of pool filtration, cleaning, and water circulation systems, reporting any malfunctions.
• Inspect pool decks and surrounding areas for cleanliness, safety hazards, and ensure they are free from debris.
• Regularly clean and maintain poolside furniture, tiles, and other equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on pool equipment, including pumps, filters, heaters, and lighting systems.
• Ensure that pool safety equipment, such as life vests, ropes, and signage, is in place and in good condition.
• Report any damage, malfunctions, or safety concerns to the Pool Supervisor.
• Assist with pool-related emergencies, ensuring all safety protocols are followed.
• Monitor and maintain the cleanliness of changing rooms, showers, and surrounding areas, ensuring they are sanitized and stocked.
• Assist with setting up and closing down pool areas for daily operation and preparing for events.
• Follow all health and safety regulations and guidelines in pool areas.
• Support the team with additional duties related to the pool and outdoor areas as needed.
• Maintain an organized and safe work environment, including proper storage and handling of cleaning supplies and chemicals.
• Maintain accurate records of pool water testing, maintenance activities, and any required repairs or replacements.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay updated on best practices in pool maintenance and safety.
• Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring the pool area remains clean, safe, and inviting.
• Perform any other duties required to support the operation of the pool area and the wider property.
