Hydraulic Engineer

About the Role

Dar Al Riyadh is seeking a highly experienced Hydraulic Engineer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role focuses on Operation and Maintenance (O&M) and Project Management Consultancy (PMC) projects, ensuring the efficient performance and optimization of hydraulic systems within infrastructure and utility assets.

Role Overview

The Hydraulic Engineer will be responsible for the performance, inspection, and optimization of hydraulic systems. This involves providing technical expertise, monitoring system efficiency, and ensuring compliance with established standards and project requirements across various infrastructure and utility sectors.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the operation and maintenance of hydraulic systems, including pipelines, pumps, valves, and control systems.
• Monitor system performance and implement corrective actions to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Provide technical support for troubleshooting, diagnostics, and failure analysis.
• Conduct inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
• Prepare technical reports, O&M manuals, and performance evaluations.
• Coordinate with PMC teams, contractors, and client representatives to ensure seamless project execution.
• Review and approve technical drawings, calculations, and specifications.
• Participate in planning, budgeting, and scheduling for O&M activities.
• Ensure adherence to contractual obligations, KPIs, and SLAs.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Hydraulic Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience, preferably in infrastructure, utilities, or water/wastewater sectors.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of hydraulic systems, components, and maintenance best practices.
• Familiarity with international codes and standards (*, AWWA, ASME, ISO).
• Excellent communication, coordination, and reporting skills.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools related to hydraulic analysis and asset management.
