The Role of Senior Engineer, Transportation

The Senior Engineer, Transportation, is responsible for executing specific and moderate portions of broader transportation engineering assignments. This role requires leveraging project management controls (PMC) and design background expertise. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in design methodology and project controls, capable of independently managing engineering deliverables from conception through completion in Jeddah and Makkah, Makkah region. This is a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and correlate engineering data using established procedures and apply design background knowledge to inform analysis and recommendations.
• Perform detailed engineering assignments involving calculations, testing, and design documentation with proficiency in design methodology and standards.
• Develop and propose engineering approaches to solve new problems by modifying standard procedures, drawing on design background and project experience.
• Manage project elements in accordance with agreed-upon budget, schedule, and project controls (PMC) requirements with minimal supervision.
• Independently perform all tasks necessary to complete primary design elements for engineering works, including design reviews and design documentation.
• Apply project management controls to track progress, identify discrepancies in results, and ensure deliverables meet quality standards.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to entry-level engineers on design methodology, engineering procedures, and project controls best practices.
• Maintain design documentation and project records in compliance with PMC standards and organizational requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in transportation engineering.
• Demonstrated experience in design methodology and project controls.
• Proficiency in design methodology and standards.
• Ability to manage engineering deliverables independently from conception through completion.
