About the Role

Johnson Controls Arabia is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join their team in Jeddah. This full-time role involves leading a small sales team and managing sales efforts to achieve targets. The Senior Sales Engineer will drive performance aligned with sales tactics, processes, and priorities, while also providing market expertise and sales support. The position may include direct selling responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

Lead a small sales team, managing their efforts, activities, and results.
Drive performance to meet sales targets, ensuring alignment with established sales tactics, processes, and priorities.
Provide market expertise and comprehensive sales support to the team and clients.
Set operational objectives and deliver results that directly impact the achievement of goals within the sales area.
Influence and persuade internal and external stakeholders, including those who may be skeptical of new concepts or approaches.
Address and resolve issues or problems within existing systems and processes, implementing minor changes as needed.
Adapt or enhance the quality and value of existing methods as part of daily activities.

Qualifications and Experience

University degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
5-10 years of relevant experience in a sales engineering role.
Advanced knowledge and skills within a specific discipline, integrating theoretical principles with organizational practices.
Ability to address vaguely defined problems, requiring understanding and consideration of other job areas.

Leadership and Influence

The Senior Sales Engineer will manage a team of less than three members or lead an indirect team that may be of substantive size. A key aspect of this role involves using influence to convince both internal and external parties who may be skeptical or unwilling to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches.

Operational Scope

The application of knowledge for this role is primarily domestic, limited to locations within a country or neighboring countries with similar cultural contexts.
