About the AX Senior Developer Role

My Clinic KSA, a leading multispecialty outpatient care provider in Saudi Arabia, is seeking an experienced AX Senior Developer for its operations in Makkah and Jeddah. This full-time position focuses on the technical development and support of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations platforms. The role is integral to enhancing system capabilities, ensuring stability, and building internal expertise.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The AX Senior Developer will be responsible for the end-to-end technical lifecycle of the organization's Dynamics AX and D365 F&O systems. This includes designing and developing customizations using X++, extending SSRS reports, and building integrations through various methods. The role also encompasses data migration, performance optimization, and providing technical support for production issues. A key aspect of this position is maintaining comprehensive documentation and adhering to best practices.

  • Design and develop customizations in AX 2012 and D365 Finance & Operations using X++, including tables, forms, classes, and data entities.
  • Create and extend SSRS reports, and develop extensions using the D365 extension framework.
  • Develop integrations using AIF (AX 2012), OData, REST APIs, custom services, and middleware solutions like Azure Logic Apps and Service Bus.
  • Manage data migration activities using DIXF (AX 2012) and Data Management Framework (D365), including import, export, transformation, and validation.
  • Analyze and improve system performance through SQL query optimization, batch job tuning, and system enhancements.
  • Prepare Technical Design Documents (TDD), maintain code documentation, and ensure adherence to Microsoft best practices and coding standards.
  • Provide L1/L2 technical support, debug and resolve production issues, and manage change requests and enhancements.
  • Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, testing, and mentor junior developers.
  • Participate in after-hours or weekend activities for critical upgrades, testing, or go-live support as required.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role must possess a strong technical background in Microsoft Dynamics AX and D365 F&O, coupled with relevant educational qualifications. Experience in the healthcare sector is considered an advantage.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • 5-10 years of hands-on experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 and D365 development.
  • Minimum 5+ years of strong expertise specifically in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012.
  • Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations Apps Developer certification or equivalent is highly preferred.
  • Additional certifications in AX 2012, Azure, or Power Platform are advantageous.
  • Experience delivering at least 6 AX 2012 end-to-end implementations and 4 D365 Finance & Operations implementations.

Technical Expertise

A comprehensive understanding of the Dynamics AX/D365 technical architecture and development tools is essential for this position. Proficiency in integration technologies and database management is also required.

  • Deep proficiency in X++, Visual Studio, D365 extension framework, packages, and models.
  • Strong experience with AX 2012 AIF pipelines, adapters, endpoints, document services, and exception handling.
  • Hands-on experience with data migration (DIXF & Data Management Framework), integrations (REST, SOAP, OData), and Azure services (Logic Apps, Service Bus, Functions, Key Vault, API Management).
  • Solid knowledge of SQL Server, indexing, query optimization, stored procedures, and execution plan analysis.
  • Experience with Visual Studio, Lifecycle Services (LCS), Azure DevOps, and Power Platform.
  • Good understanding of Hospital Information Systems (HIS) clinical workflows and their integration with ERP systems.
  • Understanding of healthcare-specific processes including patient management, billing, insurance claims, and regulatory compliance is a strong advantage.
