About the Housekeeping Supervisor Role

Shangri-La Hotel in Jeddah is seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Supervisor to join their team. This full-time position requires a professional with 2-5 years of relevant experience to oversee housekeeping operations and ensure high standards of cleanliness and maintenance within the hotel.

Key Responsibilities

The Housekeeping Supervisor will be responsible for a range of duties focused on maintaining the hotel's appearance and operational efficiency. This includes:

• Documenting and reporting items that require repair or follow-up.
• Submitting recommendations for property maintenance, repairs, furnishings, and equipment relocation to the Executive Housekeeper.
• Coordinating with the Engineering department on necessary repairs and maintenance, and tracking the progress of work orders.
• Ensuring that all areas are attended to and cleaned within acceptable timeframes.
• Verifying that all equipment and areas meet cleaning standards.
• Assisting in housekeeping coordination, including communication, as workload permits.
• Contributing to the drafting of the housekeeping duty roster by providing information on peak periods, and ensuring daily updates.

Essential Qualifications

Candidates for this role must meet the following requirements:

• Previous experience as a Housekeeping Supervisor, preferably in a five-star hotel environment.
• High proficiency in both written and verbal English communication.
• Proficiency in computer skills.
• Effective training capabilities.
• Willingness to work extended duty hours when required.

A key aspect of this role involves ensuring adherence to established hotel standards. This includes maintaining compliance with grooming standards as detailed in the Employee Handbook, contributing to a professional appearance and conduct across the housekeeping team.
