Shangri-La Jeddah, situated on the new Jeddah Waterfront along the Red Sea, sets a new standard for luxury hospitality in the city. The hotel features stylish interiors and innovative dining concepts designed to satisfy refined palates. We are seeking a dedicated Service Leader - F&B (Captain) to join our full-time team in Jeddah.

Role Overview

The F&B Captain plays a key role in creating memorable dining experiences for guests within the Food & Beverage outlets, consistently upholding Shangri-La's service standards. This position involves assisting the Outlet Manager with daily operations and overseeing the activities of Waiters and Waitresses to ensure guests receive maximum service quality. The role focuses on delivering exceptional service that enhances the guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, friendly service to customers, reflecting the Shangri-La Jeddah philosophy.
• Ensure service standards are consistently met at the assigned station.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the menu and preparation methods for each dish.
• Offer informed suggestions to guests regarding menu selections.
• Address minor guest complaints and report them to the Manager or Assistant for appropriate resolution.
• Facilitate smooth cooperation between the Restaurant, Kitchen, and Stewarding departments.
• Coordinate with the team to ensure timely service delivery to guests.
• Verify that billing is processed accurately and posted correctly.
• Adhere to Shangri-La Food Safety Processes and Procedures.
• Regularly check and ensure compliance with personal hygiene and staff grooming standards.
• Assist and train subordinate colleagues to contribute to the success of the F&B outlet.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of experience as an F&B Captain in a 5-star hotel environment.
• Overall professional experience ranging from 2 to 5 years.
• Demonstrated experience in high-end restaurant settings.

Required Skills and Attributes

• Excellent conversational skills for engaging effectively with guests.
• Strong proficiency in English.
• Positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt.
