Overview of the Country Manager Role

Mindfield Resources is seeking a Country Manager for a global consumer goods company. This full-time position is based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The role involves leading operations within a lean organizational structure that leverages a substantial third-party distribution network.

Role Purpose and Context

The Country Manager will serve as a commercially focused, hands-on leader responsible for driving growth across all channels in the Saudi market. This position requires a deep understanding of local market dynamics and the ability to manage complex relationships and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Drive business growth across all sales channels.
Manage business economics, including channel selection, distributor strategy, and stakeholder relationships.
Oversee the Profit & Loss (P&L), encompassing revenue, gross margin, trade spend, and forecasting.
Manage a significant distributor relationship, balancing principal objectives with distributor economics.
Engage with senior leadership within the established distributor network.
Oversee both modern and traditional trade ecosystems through team management, ensuring a clear understanding of on-the-ground activities.

Qualifications and Experience

A minimum of 15 years of progressive commercial and sales experience within the consumer goods industry.
Strong command of Saudi route-to-market dynamics, wholesale operations, retail execution, and distributor economics.
Demonstrated capability in senior-level negotiation and stakeholder management.
An ideal mix of experience, combining both distributor and principal roles.

Work Environment

This role operates within a lean organizational structure, relying heavily on a large third-party distribution network. The successful candidate will be expected to navigate and manage relationships within this ecosystem effectively.
