About the Role

Leylaty Group is seeking a dedicated and skilled Junior Sous Chef to join our full-time Catering & Banquet operations team in Jeddah. This role offers an opportunity to contribute to high-volume culinary production and service, supporting a wide array of events and functions.

Role Contribution to Operations

The Junior Sous Chef will play a crucial supporting role within the kitchen, working closely with senior culinary leadership. This position is responsible for assisting in the seamless delivery of high-quality food service for events, functions, and large-scale banquets, ensuring all culinary standards are consistently met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef in daily kitchen operations for catering and banquet events.
  • Ensure food preparation and presentation adhere to company standards for events of all sizes.
  • Support the organization and efficient, on-time execution of banquet production.
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff during event preparation and service.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, and HACCP compliance.
  • Monitor ingredient quality and proper storage for large-scale production.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth execution during peak event operations.
  • Assist in menu preparation and adaptation for catering and banquet requirements.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Previous experience in catering, banquets, or hotel kitchen operations.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and large-scale food production.

Essential Skills and Attributes

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated leadership and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends and events, as required.
