About the Role

Raytheon is seeking a Research & Development Engineer to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is central to advancing engineering solutions within critical defense systems, requiring a dedicated professional with substantial experience in the field.

Role Purpose and Contribution

The primary objective of this role is to conduct comprehensive engineering studies and development research. The engineer will focus on identifying and implementing appropriate solutions for electrical and electronic challenges across all Air Defense Forces systems, including the application of reverse engineering techniques to critical electrical and electronic components. This role is crucial for enhancing the operational capabilities and reliability of defense technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct engineering studies and development research to identify and implement solutions for electrical and electronic problems, including reverse engineering of parts, for Air Defense Forces systems.
• Resolve technical issues within weaponry systems and test consoles concerning electrical and electronic components, alongside developing and modifying test console software.
• Assess and investigate opportunities for modifying or developing subsystems within the Air Defense Forces' operational framework.
• Generate detailed engineering drawings and designs, and define specifications for parts to facilitate procurement or local manufacturing.
• Offer expert engineering recommendations and advice on electronic, electrical, and communication system issues encountered by repair workshops and operational units.
• Develop and issue technical bulletins aimed at preventing and correcting errors, and enhancing system performance.
• Provide essential technical consultations and support to workshops.
• Evaluate proposed developments and innovations submitted by various units of the Air Defense Forces.
• Undertake additional tasks and projects within the scope of research and development engineering as required.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in engineering research and development, particularly within electrical, electronic, or communication systems. A strong background in problem-solving and technical innovation is essential for success in this role.

This is a full-time role based in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia, requiring on-site presence to support critical defense operations and collaborative research initiatives.
