About the Role

Zegna is seeking a dedicated Stock Controller to join its team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is central to ensuring efficient and accurate inventory management across all operational touchpoints, from warehouse transfers to store-level stock control. The Stock Controller plays a critical part in maintaining inventory integrity and supporting seamless retail and wholesale operations.

Core Responsibilities

• Oversee the entire process of stock transfer, including movements into the warehouse, from warehouse to store, and inter-store, ensuring all movements are accurately recorded and updated to minimize discrepancies.
• Manage all warehouse audit activities, stock counts, and the process for identifying and resolving discrepancies.
• Provide valuable updates on deliveries, current stock levels, pending orders, claims for damaged or short-shipped merchandise, and the overall replenishment process.
• Ensure the proper adjustment of defective stock items in strict accordance with company policy and procedures.

Inventory Planning and Reporting

• Prepare the annual stock take calendar in conjunction with the Operations Manager and Store Manager.
• Communicate the stock take plan to all concerned parties and ensure compliance by mobilizing the requisite manpower and other related resources for the physical stock take.
• Oversee the physical stock take process, monitoring strict adherence to established policies and procedures.
• Review stock take results in collaboration with the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist and Finance Manager, reconciling figures by monitoring stock movements and transfers within the stores.
• Prepare comprehensive reports based on findings and provide recommendations and suggestions to the Local Retail & Wholesale Operations Specialist.
• Implement and monitor adherence to stock loss action plans formulated as a result of stock counts in the retail stores.

Logistics and Team Development

• Oversee the process of shipments for goods, coordinating with EZ in Italy and the designated logistics company to ensure timely delivery to the stores.
• Guide, train, appraise, and motivate subordinates (if any) to enable them to realize their full potential and contribute effectively to the team.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in stock control, inventory management, or a similar operational role within the retail or luxury goods sector. A proven track record in overseeing complex inventory processes and managing stock discrepancies is essential.
