SrMgr Sales I

About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a SrMgr-Sales I to proactively solicit and manage large group and catering opportunities with significant revenue potential. This full-time position is based in Makkah and requires 0-1 years of experience. The role focuses on driving customer and guest loyalty through service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Target group and catering accounts, markets, or segments with an emphasis on proactive solicitation and account saturation.
• Manage group and catering opportunities that are outside the parameters of an Event Booking Center (EBC), or all opportunities if the property does not participate in an EBC.
• Identify, qualify, and solicit new group and catering business to achieve personal and property revenue goals.
• Develop effective group and catering sales plans and actions, including designing and selling creative catered events.
• Maximize revenue by upselling packages and creative food and beverage options.
• Understand market conditions, competitor strengths and weaknesses, and economic trends to inform sales strategies.
• Utilize negotiation skills and creative selling abilities to close business and finalize contracts.

Customer Service and Relationship Management

• Handle complex business opportunities with significant revenue potential and high customer expectations.
• Build and strengthen relationships with existing and new customers through sales calls, entertainment, FAM trips, and trade shows.
• Develop relationships within the community to expand the customer base for group and catering sales.
• Support the brand's Service and Relationship Strategy by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.
• Execute brand's Customer Service Standards and property's Brand Standards.
• Serve customers by understanding their needs and recommending appropriate features and services to exceed expectations, fostering loyalty to the property and brand.

Collaboration and Operational Support

• Collaborate with off-property sales channels, such as Market Sales and Strategic Accounts, to ensure coordinated and complementary sales efforts.
• Manage and develop relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.
• Utilize sales resources and administrative/support staff effectively.
• Conduct site inspections and create contracts as required.
• Execute and support the operational aspects of booked business, including generating proposals, writing contracts, and managing customer correspondence.

Qualifications

• 0-1 years of experience in a related field.
• Demonstrated ability to proactively solicit and manage group/catering opportunities.
• Strong negotiation and creative selling abilities.
• Proven capability to build and strengthen customer relationships.
• Understanding of market dynamics and competitive landscape.
