Supervisor Housekeeping

About the Role

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a Supervisor Housekeeping to join their team in Makkah, with operations in Jeddah. This full-time position involves overseeing housekeeping operations to ensure quality standards and supporting the daily activities of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and facilities such as the pool after cleaning to ensure quality standards are met.
• Prepare room availability reports, check room status, identify discrepancies, prioritize room cleaning, and update the status of departing guests.
• Assist the Housekeeping Department in managing daily activities and coordinate efforts with Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry.
• Document and resolve room discrepancy issues with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes to assignment sheets or work boards, and communicate all issues to the next shift.
• Complete required paperwork and assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Comply with all company safety and security policies and procedures, report maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, and complete safety training and certifications.
• Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional, maintain the privacy of company proprietary information, and protect company assets.
• Support co-workers, treat them with dignity and respect, and contribute to team goals while meeting quality assurance expectations.

Physical Requirements

• Move at a speed required to respond to work situations (*, run, walk, jog).
• Read and visually verify information in various formats, and visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers or point-of-sale systems.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of various sizes and weights, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces, and over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces and stairs.
• Ascend and descend stairs and/or service ramps.
• Continuously use manual dexterity and motor skills, frequently using both hands and fine motor functions.
• Move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing 55 pounds ( kg) or less without assistance and more than 55 pounds ( kg) with assistance.
• Push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machines on sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods or very frequently during the entire work shift.
• Listen and respond appropriately to other employees' problems, and speak with others using clear and professional language.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
• Related Work Experience: At least 1 year of related work experience.
• Supervisory Experience: At least 1 year of supervisory experience.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Makkah, with operations extending to Jeddah. The role requires active participation in a dynamic hospitality environment, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
