About the Role

SYSTRA, a global engineering and consultancy firm specializing in public transport and sustainable mobility, is seeking a CAD Design Engineer for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) project in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The company focuses on designing safe and sustainable transport solutions. This role is integral to supporting the design and construction of essential BRT infrastructure, contributing to the advancement of urban mobility.

As a CAD Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating, modifying, and managing detailed technical drawings and 3D models. This position offers an opportunity for an early-career professional with 0-1 years of experience to contribute to significant urban development projects and gain experience in an international setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings for BRT transit guideways, stations, terminals, pavement markings, and signing.
• Utilize Civil 3D to develop 3D models of site plans, corridors, and utility infrastructure for visualization and clash reduction.
• Produce comprehensive, multi-scale drawings, including as-built, layout, and shop drawings, for construction teams.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including civil, traffic, utility, and structural engineers, to integrate design changes and ensure compliance with local standards.
• Contribute to material estimation (Bill of Quantities - BOQ) and construction cost assessments by leveraging CAD data.

Required Qualifications

• A foundational understanding of transportation infrastructure design, with a focus on BRT transit, road design, or utility infrastructure.

Technical Skills

• High proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Proficiency in Bentley MicroStation or OpenRoads.
• Understanding of transportation infrastructure design principles.
• Familiarity with BRT transit systems.
• Knowledge of road design principles.
• Understanding of utility infrastructure design.
