Rotana Hotels is seeking a dedicated Commis I to join our kitchen team in Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is ideal for professionals with 0-1 years of experience who are committed to culinary excellence and operational standards.

Role Overview

As a Commis I, you will be an integral part of the kitchen operations, focusing on daily food preparation and assigned duties. This role requires adherence to established standards and quality benchmarks, contributing to the overall guest experience through consistent culinary execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Chef de Partie or Demi Chef de Partie in daily kitchen operations and tasks.
• Execute food preparation according to menu specifications provided by the Chef de Partie.
• Maintain the work area in hygienic conditions at all times, in line with hotel regulations.
• Monitor food stock levels and manage food costs within the assigned section.
• Prepare daily mis-en-place and manage food production across various sections of the main kitchen or satellite kitchens.
• Follow instructions and recommendations from immediate superiors to complete daily assignments efficiently.
• Ensure the highest standards and consistent quality in daily food preparation, staying informed about new products, recipes, and preparation techniques.
• Coordinate and collaborate with other kitchen sections regarding requirements, cleanliness, waste management, and cost control initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a professional kitchen environment.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver high levels of customer service and provide practical solutions.
• A commitment to maintaining hygiene standards and operational efficiency.
