About the Role

Saudi Tabreed District Cooling Company is seeking a Plant Operator to join their team in Makkah. This full-time position is central to ensuring that plant facilities are operated and maintained under optimal conditions, consistently providing chilled water at design specifications in a safe and efficient manner. The role focuses on maintaining peak performance across all equipment and control systems.

Plant Operations

The Plant Operator is responsible for the continuous monitoring and adjustment of plant equipment and systems to ensure smooth operation. Key responsibilities include:

• Continuously monitor equipment through SCADA/Manual systems, adhering to established plant operation and maintenance procedures and standards.
• Perform technical and operational duties, coordinating with technicians to address any problems or faults that arise within the plant.
• Monitor system performance and implement necessary adjustments to maintain efficiency.
• Conduct routine inspections of plant equipment.
• Respond promptly to alarms and system alerts.

Maintenance Support

This role provides essential support to maintenance activities, ensuring plant reliability and safety protocols are followed. Responsibilities include:

• Assist in troubleshooting and identifying operational issues.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance tasks.
• Issue work permits for maintenance activities and execute Lock-Out Tag-Out procedures.
• Liaise with internal and external maintenance and technical staff to resolve technical deficiencies as required.

Documentation and Data Management

Accurate record-keeping and data management are critical aspects of this position, including specific requirements for WERA reporting:

• Maintain accurate records of all plant operations.
• Provide regular status reports on plant operation and maintenance to the supervisor.
• Collect raw data and supporting information for WERA requirements.
• Generate final data and transfer it to relevant templates for submission to WERA.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following:

• 0-3 years of experience in plant operations or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated understanding of plant operation and maintenance procedures and standards.
• Ability to effectively monitor equipment and respond to system alerts.
