The Role of Sales Director, Middle East

Energy Exemplar is seeking a Sales Director to drive business development and expand the company's footprint across Saudi Arabia and the broader Middle East region. Based in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, this full-time position requires a dynamic and results-oriented professional with experience in building relationships within the Energy, Utilities, and Oil & Gas sectors. The Sales Director will operate autonomously while collaborating closely with EMEA leadership to develop and execute strategic sales initiatives, overseeing the full sales cycle and serving as the primary point of contact for customers.

Key Responsibilities

Drive new business sales across Saudi Arabia, targeting organizations in the Energy, Utilities, and Oil & Gas sectors.
Meet or exceed assigned financial sales targets and quarterly performance goals.
Build, manage, and maintain a healthy, high-quality sales pipeline utilizing CRM tools such as Salesforce or HubSpot.
Partner with Sales and Marketing teams to execute targeted sales campaigns and generate pipeline within both new prospects and existing accounts.
Conduct outbound prospecting and networking across all stakeholder levels, from end users to senior executives, employing value-based selling to address customer pain points.
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of regional market segments, regulatory environments, and key applications for Energy Exemplar solutions.
Perform ongoing market research to identify new prospects, emerging markets, and service opportunities across Saudi Arabia.
Represent Energy Exemplar in the region through industry events, conferences, and local networks to enhance brand visibility and generate new leads.
Collaborate internally with product, technical, and customer success teams to ensure alignment between customer needs and solution capabilities.

Candidate Qualifications and Experience

Over 8 years of experience in driving net new enterprise software sales or consulting.
Significant experience within the Energy, Utilities, or Oil & Gas sectors.
A consistent record of achieving sales targets and goals.
Strong customer-facing experience, including leading enterprise-level customers through business or technology transformations, with large account and project management expertise.
Proven track record of success in driving new business sales within developing or high-growth regions.
Ability to travel within the region as required.
